Algeria to pay back Nigeria after bad treatment in Uyo – Zambia coach

Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda has claimed Algeria are bitter with Nigeria over how they were “badly treated” in Uyo last November and they may pay back the Eagles when they visit soon.
Nigeria beat Algeria 3-1 in Uyo last year November and both teams will clash again on the final day of the qualifying tournament for Russia 2018 on November 6 in Constantine.
The Eagles may now be in for a tough time if the Zambia coach is to be believed.
“Algeria complained bitterly about the treatment they received in Nigeria,” Nyirenda revealed at a press briefing in Lusaka today.
“They wondered whether Nigeria will not come to Algeria, saying they are also going to replicate.”
Nyirenda himself said his team will brace up to any hostility in Nigeria after they survived in Algeria.
“I have played many, many times in West Africa both for the national team and clubs and we know what to expect,” he said.
“They will throw everything in the book at us.
“In Algeria, the stadium hostility too, too high, a small-time player will not perform there, but the boys were so focused, they have come of age.”
He also said he does not expect the cancellation of a training camp in Europe for the October 7 clash to affect his team as they will make the best use of their time in Ghana.
